There are some couples for whom infertility is an inherited biological problem and an acquired one where no dietary fertility treatments work and fertility treatments are the only viable solution. These couples therefore head towards fertility treatments center where verity of fertility treatments can be used to make then able to conceive naturally or by giving them alternate methods of reproduction. Some of the treatments include comparatively low cost procedures and some are very costly.
There are fertility drugs which are used for fertility treatments. These drugs are also prescribed in cases where reason for infertility is unknown. These drugs are mostly helpful is either of the couple is suffering from hormonal imbalance or have shortage in hormones. Such drugs are often carried out with other procedures side by side like artificial insemination.
Artificial insemination is a procedure where a high dose of sperms are artificially placed in the uterus at a proper time in the partner, which will improve the odds of her getting pregnant.
Surgeries too are used as fertility treatments to cure infertility. For example in case a fallopian tube is blocked, the passage can be cleared using surgeries. Similarly with the help of laparoscope (thin fiber tube) minor surgeries are performed to remove defects like endometriosis, fibroids and ovarian cysts. Another of the surgical infertility treatments involves correction of genetic defects. However in many cases surgeries are considered unnecessary and other options and treatments are preferred over it.
Assisted reproduction technology is used as one of the fertility treatments where the sperm count is low or fallopian tubes are blocked and when all other treatments have failed to perform. These methods are expensive and involve procedures like In Vitro fertilization, Intracytoplasmic sperm injection, zygote intrafallopian transfer and gamete intrafallopian transfer. Often when the age of the patient is unsuitable to carry a child a gestational carrier is used. The gestational carrier here is a surrogate mother who lends her fetus to carry the baby.
In Vitro fertilization is one of the most common fertility treatments which can help in cases where the patient (female) is suffering from pelvic condition or when the male is suffering from infertility. Here through the use of drugs eggs are produced which are then surgically removed. Then the egg and the sperm are fertilized ad placed back in the body.
Intrauterine Insemination is another fertility treatment which is better known as artificial insemination. This treatment as mentioned earlier is used especially when there is low sperm count in the partner.
Sperm and Egg donation is a very important aspect of artificial fertility treatments as their care cases where a male or a female are unable to produce sperm and egg respectively even without drugs etcetera.
These treatments are in most cases successful and give hope to those who yearn for the crackle of a young one.
